1st Degree Burn:
A burn on the outer most layer of the skin. They are minor burns and tend to heal on their own within a few days to weeks without the seeking of medical attention. Sunburn is a type of first degree burn.
1st Degree Burns A second degree burn is a type of burn that blisters the skin but is still superficial. This type of burn is a little more serious than first degree burn but usually not life threatening and medical attention is most likely not to be needed. Can be cause by fire or the spilling of hot liquids.
2nd Degree Burn This is the most serious type of burn. Cells in the epidermis are burned away. The skin becomes "dead". And this type of burn can leave a lasting scar and burn away feeling in that part of your skin forever
